Welcome to this 2-day workshop aimed at any scientists interested in using neutrons and X-rays in their research. Experts will give introductions to facilities and guide you on how to write a winning beamtime proposal!

This 3rd European conference on Gastronomy will cover social, economic, psychological, medical, cultural and political dimension of food, meals and eating, as well as aspects of art and design linked to culinary experiences. The ambition is to lay a solid foundation for collaboration in areas of strategic importance, to be discussed in future international gastronomy conferences.

Welcome to this workshop aimed at scientists interested in performing tomography, or that have already acquired their first data. During two days, you will get to meet and work with experts in image visualisation, image analysis, and to work together to visualise, quantify and interpret the scientific content in your 3D images.

This workshop will provide an introduction to tomography, to the ForMAX beamline, and more specialized techniques such as tensor tomography and SWAXS mapping, as well as provide examples of applications in food products. We welcome people who have never done a tomography experiment to explore the possibilities that this technique opens for your research, as well as those who are interested in learning about further techniques that can enhance your current tomography studies. Limited to 25 participants so don’t wait to register!

This year we have the pleasure to welcome a range internationally well-renowned researchers coming in person from around the world from Los Angeles to Sydney. They also represent interdisciplinary research needed to tackle the challenges, but also the opportunity the food sector faces. The conference addresses challenges concerning the whole food sector from agriculture, food technology, processing and engineering, environment, medicine and nutrition, as well as the consumer and society.
