Integrative Structural Biology Working Group Membrane Proteins Member, LINXS Fellow

Swati Aggarwal is a membrane protein biochemist with a specialization in sample preparation for neutron crystallography and she is currently working at ESS in Lund. Her major research interest is to design a methodology to perdeuterate and grow large crystals of membrane and cytoplasmic proteins. With world’s best spallation source being built in Lund, this method will be helpful to solve structural questions that otherwise are not possible by other techniques. She is part of MSCA ITN project RAMP and deeply engaged in various science communication activities for ESS and MSCA. In her words “Being a naive membrane protein structural biologist, LINX is the right platform for me to expand my horizon and learn from pioneers in the field with the best infrastructure around the corner.”
