We are happy to share Highlights of the LINXS Annual Report 2023 with you. It summarises LINXS developments, Theme activities, some selected highlights and statistics related to our events and activities.

2023 has been a very eventful and successful year for LINXS. The number of Themes has increased from three to six, following the opening of its open Theme call in 2022. This has resulted in a large increase in activities, in addition to the ongoing seminars/webinar series, hosted activities, and the newly launched Young Researchers’ Initiatives (YRIs).

During the year, LINXS has been preoccupied in planning its move onto Science Village at Brunnshog in Lund, scheduled for early 2025. We are delighted to be among the first institutes to move onto Science Village, with its close proximity to both MAX IV and ESS.

We have many acknowledgments to make. In particular we remember our former Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) Chairperson, Stefan Egelhaaf, who passed away in November 2023. He will be very badly missed. LINXS is greatly indebted to its SAB, Board, Management, and Staff – and of course to the science community without which it would not exist. In many ways the strongest motivation for LINXS comes from its growing community and the sense of optimism and excitement that it seeks to stimulate for researchers of the future.
