This virtual HALOS school will combine lectures and practical demonstrations illustrating the types of experiments and science questions that can be addressed using state of the art photon and electron sources. 

We will cover small angle X-ray scattering, fluorescence microscopy, electron cryomicroscopy, serial crystallography with X-rays and electrons, time-resolved studies, and structural biology at free electron lasers. 

The emphasis of the school will be on highlighting the kind of measurements and experiments that are possible with the latest methods, and on giving very practical insights into sample preparation, data acquisition and data handling.
