CBCS is a national research infrastructure funded by the Swedish Research Council (SRC), Science for Life Laboratory (SciLifeLab), and six host universities. CBCS is a coordinated distributed infrastructure at six universities (Karolinska Institutet (KI), Umeå University (Umu), Uppsala University (UU), Linköping University (LiU), University of Gothenburg (UGOT) and Lund University (LU)). We provide world-leading expertise in the field of chemical biology to researchers in a collaborative project model. To do this, we offer support in assay development, small molecule screening, enabling chemistry, and access to small molecule libraries. Additionally, we have recently expanded our services to include disease and compound profiling using morphological profiling (i.e., cell painting), support for functional precision medicine projects, screening infectious pathogens in biosafety level 2 and 3 laboratories, virtual screening, advanced chemoinformatics and automated patch clamp profiling.
