Welcome to a webinar with LINXS visiting researcher Dr. Christopher J. Garvey from ANSTO, Australia.

We want to welcome you to a web symposium on the GISANS technique, featuring two pioneers on the techniques Dr. William A. Hamilton, USA and Professor Peter Müller-Buschbaum, Germany. We will also provide an updated on the SAGA initiative and some recent progress in the application of GISANS.

The objective  with the meeting at LINXS is to further discuss the Swedish initiative to build a GISANS instrument at ESS and plan for the next steps.  The meeting will be attended by representatives for Swedish Research Council, ESS and the industry. Very welcome.

Thomas Hellweg currently works at the Faculty of Chemistry, Dep. of Physical and Biophysical Chemistry, Bielefeld University. Thomas does research in Physical Chemistry and Materials Science with a focus on "Soft Matter".

Jan Dhont is a Director at Forschungszentrum Jülich (Institute of Complex Systems) and a full Professor at the Physics Department at the Heinrich-Heine University in Düsseldorf. After his PhD in Physical Chemistry at the van’t Hoff Laboratory at the University of Utrecht and some years as a postdoc in Theoretical Physics at the University of Konstanz he returned to Utrecht as an Associate Professor before he accepted his current position at FZ Jülich.
