Registration coming soon
We are excited to announce a symposium highlighting the latest advancements and achievements in the rapidly evolving field of serial crystallography. This event also celebrates the commencement of user operations at the MicroMAX Beamline at MAX IV Laboratory, an important milestone in our ongoing efforts to push the boundaries of structural biology and crystallography.
Join us for an exciting series of presentations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities with leading experts in serial crystallography. Whether you’re an experienced researcher or new to the field, this event offers valuable insights into the future of crystallography and its transformative impact on science.
When: 22–24 September 2025
Where: LINXS, The Loop, Rydbergs torg 4, Lund, Sweden
Organisers: LINXS, MAX IV
Fee: A registration fee will be charged for the event. Regular 500 SEK, students/postdocs 250 SEK. The fee covers lunch and coffee breaks on both days and the conference dinner. Participants are expected to arrange for their own travel and stay.
About the symposium
Serial crystallography opens possibilities to study protein dynamics on a wide range of time scales and also of irreversible reactions. It is also a powerful method to study protein structures at room temperature as the impact of radiation damage is reduced. Serial crystallography at X-ray free-electron lasers and synchrotrons has also applications that extend beyond structural biology.
This symposium will showcase some of the exciting scientific advances achieved through serial crystallography and time-resolved crystallography, in structural biology and other areas.
It will feature presentations from invited speakers, selected oral presentations based on submitted abstracts and poster sessions. The symposium will be held at LINXS (www.linxs.se) at its new location in Science Village located between MAX IV Laboratory (www.maxiv.lu.se) and the European Spallation Source (www.ess.eu). Attendees will also be invited for a tour of MAX IV beamlines on the evening of 23 September.
This event is organized to mark the recent start of user operations at the MicroMAX beamline at MAX IV Laboratory, which is funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation (www.novonordiskfonden.dk) who are also the sponsors of this symposium.
