ChemLife WG 2 Conference: Modulating the function and activity of both macromolecules and small molecules of life using chemical biology

Registration is closed

When: 18 October 2023 (full day)

Where: the Leicester Institute of Structural and Chemical Biology (LISCB), UK.

Description

The first working group 2 meeting in the Chemistry of Life Theme will take place at the Leicester Institute of Structural and Chemical Biology (LISCB). The conference will focus on identifying current challenges and limitations in structural biology that have the potential to be addressed by synthetic chemical biology. The conference will provide the opportunity for ESS and MAX IV members to present their research topics and highlight the areas in which synthetic chemical biology could have the capability to make new advances. This will be followed by discussions from LISCB members and external members on their experience of using chemical biology in structural biology and how it could potentially be applied to the proposed challenges raised during the conference. The aim of the conference is to enable knowledge exchange and initiate new collaborations in chemical biology and structural biology between LISCB and LINXS researchers in The Chemistry of Life Theme.
