Bio: Ferenc Borondics, educated as a chemist, has been working in synchrotrons around the world since 2007 at infrared and various x-ray beamlines. His main interests are method development, material science and the application of novel machine learning in natural sciences. As part of his activities, he launched the Orange Spectroscopy collaboration in 2016, which resulted in the tools that will be introduced in this online workshop. Currently, he is the head of the SMIS infrared spectromicroscopy beamline in the SOLEIL synchrotron in France.
