RACIRI Summer School 2019
“Structure, Real-time Dynamics and Processes in Complex Systems”
When: 4-11 August 2019
Where: Svetlogorsk, Kaliningrad area, Russia
Extended Application deadline is on May 20, 2019.
We would like to draw your attention to the RACIRI Summer School 2019, that takes place in the beginning of August in Svetlogorsk near Kaliningrad.
The RACIRI Summer School is a joint initiative by Russia, Sweden and Germany in the collaborative framework of the Röntgen-Angström-Cluster (RAC) and the Ioffe-Röntgen-Institute (IRI). The novel format of the RACIRI Summer School is driven by scientific frontier themes and challenges in the field of materials sciences with a strong connection to the superb analytical potential at current and future research infrastructures (synchrotron radiation, X-rays and neutrons) in the Baltic region. The RACIRI Summer School is held every year under a special focus theme. Its venue rotates annually among the three partnering countries. This year the focal theme is "Structure, Real-Time Dynamics and Processes in Complex Systems".
The school addresses mainly PhD students, master (diploma) students in their final research year, and young postdoctoral researchers from institutions in Germany, Sweden and Russia, who want to use synchrotron or neutron radiation.
Travel, accommodation and food is free, since there are 20 full stipends for successful applicants from Germany and Sweden each.
Top-level speakers (http://www.raciri.org/programme_2019/), international contacts and summer feeling at the Baltic Sea beach are some of the reasons to apply for this school.
