LINXS Partner Event: French and Swedish School on Energy Materials

FASEM.JPG

– These collaborations are a great way for LINXS to establish its new premises as a vibrant location for workshops and research related events as well as for expanding our network. The presence of the students and lecturers at LINXS at the same time as our working groups will give rise to some very interesting discussions, says Stephen Hall, Director of LINXS.

About the French and Swedish School on Energy Materials

LINXS is co-organising a French and Swedish School on Energy Materials, together with Swedish and French universities and research organiations. It will focus on the characterisation of materials for the production, processing, storage or transportation of energy that are essential components for current societal challenges.

An important aspect of the school will be to emphasise the complementarity between similar techniques based on one or the other of the radiations, too often ignored. This is because knowledge of structural organization and dynamics at the atomic scale is an essential prerequisite for the study of these materials, and is based, not exclusively but largely, on the use of short-wave radiation, neutrons or X-rays

Who Can Apply?

PhD students and post-doctoral researchers with PhD in physics or chemistry with a mathematical background are welcome to apply to the school.

Time, date and more information

The school will run between 13-17 May at LINXS in Lund. Registration and more information can be found at: fasem.sciencesconf.org.
